Lister’s Management Committee publishes its Minutes from April 2019 onwards, as required by the Scottish Housing Regulator and also in the spirit of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act. Any confidential minutes will not be published but we rarely generate such minutes unless strictly necessary.
The Committee meets monthly (apart from in December) and minutes will be posted once they have been approved by the following Committee meeting. We have tried to ensure the minutes are written so they are concise but also informative, to the wider public, not just those attending and Lister tenants.

We try and have as little jargon as possible in the minutes but for reasons of brevity they may creep in. Common acronyms/terms used are as follows:
ARCHIE – the Alliance of Registered Co-operatives and Housing associations In Edinburgh. An alliance of eight independent HAs and co-ops based in Edinburgh. Comprises Lister HC, Hunters Hall HC, Manor Estates HA, Muirhouse HA, Port of Leith HA, Prospect Community HA, Viewpoint HA, and West Granton HC.
CEC – City of Edinburgh Council.
DPO – Data Protection Officer – an identified contact point for organisations that are covered by FOISA. The DPO manages issues arising from GDPR and also liaises with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) Scotland.
EESSH/ EESSH 2 – Energy Efficiency Standards for Social Housing – standards for all RSL and Local Authority housing in Scotland relating to energy efficiency.
EVH – Employers in Voluntary Housing – the membership body for RSLs and third sector bodies. EVH mainly covers the fields of employment, recruitment, training and also health & safety.
FOI/FOISA – Freedom of Information Act / Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act. It is overseen by the Scottish Information Commissioner (SIC).
GDPR – General Data Protection Regulations – EU-wide regulations which form the latest version of the Data protection legislation which include more rights for individuals over their personal data.
HA/HAs – Housing association(s).
RSL/RSLs – Registered Social Landlords – housing associations and co-ops registered with the SHR (see below).
Rules – The Rules of the Lister co-operative i.e. our constitution. It is based on the model rules for RSLs produced by the SFHA and approved by the SHR and the Financial Conduct Agency (FCA).
SFHA – Scottish Federation of Housing Associations – the membership body representing HAs and Co-ops in Scotland .
SHR – Scottish Housing Regulator – who regulate social housing – HAs/Co-ops and the housing functions of local authorities.
Third sector – The Government and Local Authorities are one main sector of the ‘economy’. Private businesses are another. The Third Sector tends to denote those in between – charities, public interest groups, non-profit-making organisations, RSLs, etc.
