We are always keen for tenants and residents at Lister to get involved. There are various ways to get involved – both informal and formal. Check out the relevant link for more information.
In addition there are three other important ways to help build the community at Lister:
- Be a good neighbour – be considerate of others, try and be on good terms with your neighbouring tenants and their families. We find that if people start interaction on a positive footing, then further contact is more likely to occur and be supportive and understanding.
- If you or your family use the back green then again be considerate of others and the advice we give about back green usage. Some activities in the communal back greens can be intrusive if they are noisy or damaging or late in the evening/night. The greens are a valuable shared resource and also a space for quiet and relaxation too.
- Think about getting involved in the wider community. There are quite a number of activities, organisations, groups and events that take place within the locality – where its heritage or dance; exercise or music; educational or just plain fun. It is good to have outside interests and also meet new people.
