The Co-operative is an independent housing organisation – a Registered Social Landlord – part of the voluntary housing movement comprising other housing associations and co-operatives. We are regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) and we are also a Registered Society regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Lister is run by its Management Committee – the governing body – that comprises tenants elected at the Annual General Meeting. There are a also number of Sub-Groups that meet to help deal with certain decisions. Most of the day-to-day work is done by the staff employed by the Management Committee, headed by the CEO, John Rankin.
The Lister Office, at 36 Lauriston Place, provides many services to tenants and those seeking housing. It is open half-a-day each day – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, and Thursday afternoons. In emergency there may be staff available at other times between 9.00 and 5.00 Monday to Friday.
